Kindred Spirits + Wellness is pleased to offer a variety of yoga and wellness options for all ages and activity levels. Our goal is to work in service of our community by supporting the connection between mindful breath and meaningful movement. We are also delighted to provide a space for like minded practioners of various modalities to care for their clients. In addition to our daily yoga schedule, we are pleased to offer private and small group instruction. We can accommodate a one-time class for beginners or those curious about yoga to groups who are ready to commit to a regular weekly session.
Anne is a daughter/sister/wife/mother who loves belly laughs, dark chocolate, and kindness. Currently, I hold a RYT-200 certification from Yoga Alliance and will be RYT-500 YTT in the fall of 2019. She loves the space that yoga helps us create in both our bodies and in our minds. "Letting the light in" through a combination of breath and movement is something she will be forever grateful for from her yoga practice. In addition to serving as a yoga teacher, She is also a Registered Nurse and work as an HIV/AIDS educator at the Positive Health Clinic.
Jessie Walker earned her 200 RYT certification in July 2018. Since then, she has earned her 300 RYT. Jessie enjoys exploring traditional and modern forms of yoga, including Hatha, Ashtanga, and power yoga. In addition to teaching yoga, Jessie also teaches Insanity,
a high intensity workout program. As a WVU student, Jessie plans to pursue a career in healthcare. If she’s not studying or practicing yoga, you’ll find Jessie with her family and friends, her three dogs, or watching Grey’s Anatomy. As a yoga teacher, Jessie’s
goal is to share her love of yoga and its healing qualities, both physical and mental, with as many people as she can.
Michelle "Shelley" Lorenze
Michelle Lorenze is a Yoga Alliance RYT-200 from Morgantown, WV. She is currently enrolled in her RYT 500 training. She teaches Vinyasa yoga. Michelle’s classes are open to all, any level of experience. She creates a welcoming and loving environment in all of her classes. She loves to watch new students evolve and grow in their practice. She loves spending time with her family, dogs and cats, researching her family tree, and has recently taken up golf.
Audrey Lutz has been practicing yoga for over 6 years and earned her level one training from YOGAFIT in 2015. She completed her RYT-200 training through the University of Wellness in the spring of 2020. Audrey started her yoga-teaching journey in 2015 providing classes to Veterans enrolled at the VA medical center. Her goal is to bring awareness to others of how our stress response can be calmed by connection of movement and our breath to achieve a sense of peace in the body and mind. She is passionate about healing and self-care and maintains a heavy focus on the importance of self-compassion and finding joy and purpose in life. She believes life is all about balance and finding ways to release negative energy in your body with movement. In addition to serving as a yoga teacher: she is a mother to 2 boys, wife to a loving & supportive husband and is a clinical therapist.
Jessica became obsessed with yoga while attending Prenatal yoga classes over six years ago. This obsession led to me deciding to enroll in a yoga teacher training program and the rest as they say is history. She is a Yoga Alliance certified 200 hour RYT and have been teaching now for more than 3 years. When she's not teaching, she is spending time with her family. She loves that yoga meets each person exactly where they are, in that moment. Join her on the mat and explore what Yoga means to you, together.
Kasey Eaton is a certified Vinyasa Yoga Instructor. She began her yoga journey in 2016. She started out practicing yoga for the physical aspects, but her interest quickly grew. She wanted to know more about the mental aspects and background of yoga. She completed her 250 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Aura Wellness Center in April 2018. She is passionate about the lifechanging benefits of yoga both physical and mental. Yoga lights her up and fills her heart.. She loves to share this with her students.
Sarah has been a student of yoga since 2013 and a teacher since 2019. She is a YogaFit student teacher, working towards her 200 hour YA certification. She lives with her husband, two dogs, cat and assorted other critters. Her goal as an instructor is to give students the tools they need to be able to make the choices in their practice and off the mat that serve the body and the mind. Her goal as a friend and community member is to build up and support others by bringing the mental and physical benefits to the community.
